About CEHDA

Building bridges between cultures and creating sustainable opportunities since 2007

An Association Founded by Ghanaian People in Catalonia

CEHDA (Cultural, Environmental, Human Development Association) was founded by Ghanaian people living in Catalonia to improve opportunities for migrant communities and support sustainable development in Ghana's Savannah Region.

We weave intercultural networks that help break down stereotypes about migration and promote a more humane global society. Since we started this project in 2007, we have overcome many obstacles and have collectively learned about how to accompany, care for, and work together for a fairer world.

Our work spans two continents, connecting the Sawla District in Ghana's Savannah Region with communities across Catalonia, Spain. We believe that through authentic partnerships and sustainable practices, we can create lasting positive change.

CEHDA co-learning with communities

Our Mission

To generate local and sustainable opportunities that allow both rural communities in Ghana and migrant people in Catalonia to live with dignity.

Our Vision

A fairer and more sustainable global society where every person can thrive regardless of their origin, and where communities support each other across borders.

Our Approach

We work with communities, not for them. Our projects are developed collaboratively, respecting local knowledge and traditions while building sustainable solutions.
